Throwout/Release Bearing
The Miata's throwout bearing is making a rattling noise when I depress the clutch, and select a gear. I know I need to replace it... Sooner, rather than later. However, have any of you had this issue? And if so, how long did it last?
I know I'd be royally fucked if it completely failed on me. But I don't have the money to have someone do the work. And, I don't have he appropriate tools to do it myself, where I'm living right now.
Anyone? Anyone?

fix as soon as possible. any moving part is not going to last very long if it isn't working the way it is supposed to.

You're fucked, past the point of no return, the entire car will engulf in a ball of fire the next time you depress the clutch.
Fucked.

Re: Throwout/Release Bearing
i drove one with a throwout bearing that didnt spin till it was warm, so it would make this god awful grinding noise against the pressure plate every morning when i engaged it, yeah I lived with that for like a year..the only problem you will have is if the bearings have actually started to come apart and the things just comes apart completly and leaves you stranded
