Aston Martin V12 Vantage Empty Aston Martin V12 Vantage

That's my new favourite car - the one I'd buy given the means. Don't really like all the bonnet vents, but that engine in that body with a conventional manual transmission has an appeal any future model would be unlikely to diminish.

GT40 would be second. They look so awesome in the European GT races.

The V8 was my favourite, but now it has the power (it needed) and cache of the V12 engine.

I think it's because the people who are buying them couldn't give a fuck if it's 1 million or 2...because they have billions.

Well, they're only making 77 of them of course...and they've got more gold leaf in the engine bay than Fort Knox.
But jes, very very sexy car. I like the V12 Vantage too. Shame we won't be getting here in the States.

Holy shit... The body is all hand-beaten aluminum, and the door panels--even the stalks that the side mirrors sit on--are all one solid piece.
Now, that is craftsmanship.

but it gets less than 18mpg. someone buy one then trade it in for cash for clunkers so they can destroy the engine and post it on youtube

Nobody, and I mean nobody, lucky enough to get their hands on a One-77 gives .005% of a shit about what it's gas mileage is. Chances are they'll barely drive it anyway.

Pennz: I knew about the old A-M's being hand formed, I just think the detail of all the strakes and concave/convex forms and especially that little mirror stem are very impressive. I don't remember any DB5's or Lagondas being this expressively (or aggressively) styled.

I love astons.

Also, something cool about them: Go to the average car loving dude's room. They all got ferraris and lambos on their walls. Who's got astons? No one, they're more niche...
