TL;DR version:

OP: Someone stole the rare custom fascia off my car while I was at work today. Ripped the thing off and fucked up the rest of my front end. I've got some leads, but I don't know how I'm going to get any proof or where I'm going to find the guy.

Thief: Hay guys check out this new rare front fascia I just put on my car lol!

Rest of the board: Check out all this evidence we found proving you stole it. PWN!

dude's acura has it's fascia stolen; tells forum

second forum guy notices that the pictures of the thief's car match the photos of a car belonging to a different member that's always got parts for sale

different member posts saying 'fuck you guys. i didn't steal shit, etc.'

different member creates second account to 'back up' himself

more circumstantial evidence surfaces that different member is guilty

thread closed after every forum in the country posts: 'hey from subaru forums' 'hey from honda forums' etc

Didn't somebody get a hit and run by another car and they got pics of the car and the dude off a camera phone then posted it on their forum and someone recognized them from another forum and they had him arrested within hours?
