Well, when I just thought of him as just a really smart guy who was known for saying "Bueller" and having an amusing game show, then yeah it would have come out of left field. But at the height of the Bush administration, I'd started seeing several interviews he gave (largely on Fox News, of course) where he put out some very hardcore right-wing views, so when the movie dropped, it wasn't entirely unexpected for me.

I was more surprised to find out some people in Hollywood who seem to have excellent senses of humor, like Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and David Zucker, were very staunch Republicans. I didn't think conservatives found offensive things funny. :roflmao: :roflmao:
