RWD Alfas?

Next year's Alfa 169 and junior Quattroporte will be based on the Chrysler RWD platform. Good news for Alfa, who haven't had a RWD car in 20 years. Although I don't care too much about the 169, it will be great news if the 159 and GTV/Brera replacements can also make the transition. Alfa should be mixing it will BMW rather than an alternative to Saab.

I really like Alfas, I wish they would bring them to the states, but I don't know enough about them to know where which class they should be placed in.

They don't look like they are total luxo barges, but look as if they could be in the same class as Volvo and Saab. They at least have the upper hand with a much larger variation of vehicles.

What they need to do is make a Spyder that could compete with the Miata. Now you have something.

Interesting. Chrysler RWD platform sounds...big for Alfas, but it might have good results. We shall see, I suppose.

The only pics at this stage I think are artists renders. The ones I've seen just have 159 or Mi To headlights glued onto a large, swoopy body.
