Momentum, i've been at that place probably 20 times. You start on level ground and you never let off. Virtually anything AWD will do okay there.

the mountains have been getting hit hard so far. shaping up to be an awesome ski season. already had first knee deep powder skiing of the year. breckenridge got 3 feet in 3 days from the last storm. we've only had some dustings here in colorado springs, but we always get a lot less than the mountains. Some storms will drop a couple inches in town but pikes peak, which is about 10 miles away as the crow flies, will get feet.

Imprezas too small, Legacy/Baja/Outback FACTORY turbos too new.
For the amount invested ($2500 '97 sedan, swapped to $500 wagon, parted out rest, made over $2000 plus the suspension swap was an even exchange) I'm not complaining. Someday a WRX drivetrain will fall in my lap, its only a matter of time.
Hooligan driving needs to get here, STAT. Keeps snowing in the North, and in the states East and West of here. Dammit I want MY turn to scare others on the road!

What tires did you put on that thing?

General Grabber AT2's, they're studdable, but only on the outside tread blocks.
They're fucking noisy and not so great in wet mud. My buddy's dad put Deck Cepeck Mud Crushers on his F250 Super Duty and surprisingly they are much much quieter, and better in the snow, of course. But in my size it was either the Generals or the Yokohama AT/S. Should have got the Yokos. Lady at work has them on her H3 and they too are quiet. But she doesn't drive in mud so I have no idea how good they are, but I've heard good things.

Naw, those look good. If I had a descent vehicle, I would use a set of steelies in the winter and Mags in the summer.

They'll match the Rhino Lining I want to have done to the lower half of the car.
