Re: Name that Car
To be honest, this is one of my favorite non-mainstream Japanese cars. You could get them with a RB25DET for an engine. I also enjoy it's big-car looks. I think if they would have sold that here in the US as an Infiniti in the early 90's to compete with the Lexus LS400, it would have done well. They did bring it here however for 2005 as the Infiniti M45.

Re: Name that Car
it looks like they just flipped the grille emblem sideways, for some reason.

No, they are different emblems. Probably different model years or trims. The first one has a thin bar of chrome in the center of the grille that the second does not.
Re: Name that Car
Well that's why I said Gloria or Cedric, because it was the same car, but were different models

Re: Name that Car
I just was reading something and it looks to be a Cedric. It said that Nissan copied the Lincoln symbol, which looks like it in the first pic.
* Alright by what I found it's a Y32 (1991-1995) Nissan Cedric Gran Tourismo which had the same headlights as the Gloria. Apparently the Cedric appealed to an older market and the Gloria appealed to a younger performance market.

Re: Name that Car
Lately I've been walking around the neighbourhood after work. I had already seen a black AMG C63 with licence plate "STIG.63" a couple of times. But tonight the garage door at that house was open and everyone was home - boring new Golf, a recent model Alfa GTV, the C63 and a Ferrari F430. The 63 in the STIG licence plate was apparently the owner's birth year rather than a reference to the model, since the Alfa was two initials "1963".
Not too many other decent cars home yet, but on a previous night there had been a CL63 parked on that street.

In Thailand I saw a couple of Nissan Big M utes, I'm not sure where else the model is badged that way, but Big M here is flavoured milk.
