i went to their site and it doesnt look like they do. and good lord are suburbans expensive. starting at 41k? the toyota sequia, which im sure is superior in almost every conceivable way, starts at 38k. and the nissan armada starts at 37k. what incentive do people have to buy gm again? oh yeah, none.

@Ascona: Part of the reason it's probably not as classy is because the Rendezvous is a Buick and the Acadia is a GMC, which is a more truck-focused brand. The Buick Enclave would be a more comparable match...it's the same basic vehicle as the Acadia but with more of a luxury focus. It also cost about $6,000 Canadian more than the Acadia, so it was probably a lot more expensive to import than the Acadia.

yeah, but they're out for class... Razz
but the rendezvous was too old for them. so they searched long and hard to find a worthy replacement. and the acadia is the best they could come up with. it looks like an inflated opel astra (they'll kill me if they read this Very Happy )

What incentive do people have to buy GM again? Well, if they produce something that people want or have a need for, people will buy it.

My friend who asked me has more money than he knows what to do with. He has a 4 y.o. Super Duty King Ranch that he uses for work and also tows everything for his personal life. He want's to keep that for work and have something that can stay at home. He knows he can still buy an Excursion with a Powerstroke, however he really likes the looks of the new Suburban over the Excursion. I don't think he cares about the price to be honest, he had no problem paying $45k for the King Ranch.

Also, the Toyota and Nissan aren't available with a Diesel.

I'm not sure i think when they went to the newer body style GMT900 style they dropped the Duramax option.

But seriously what is your friend thinking about towing, because a gasser Suburban is still one hell of a tow bitch.

If money is no option you may* be able to get a Duramax Quiggley Can, i know you can get a powerstroke Quiggley wub
