Best Looking New Small Sedan
I've created this poll a couple of times over the years, but it's always interesting to see the results. I've only bothered with the premium brands this time, because the impression of other models is they're either slightly smaller (Civic, 3) or larger (Mazda 6), even if that's not always the case.
Anyway, the 3 Series sedan's facelift removes any of the old model's Japanese influence. It's now a very handsome car. The new A4's a bit big but a lot of people like the tough, chunky look. And the 159 is still as unique and great as ever.

BMW. Followed by the Audi / Mercedes Benz which I couldn't choose between and then the Lexus. Really, though, they're all pretty good looking sedans. I haven't seen a 159 in person, so I can't really comment on it.

I dig the 159, I think Alfas styling is at a high right now and I wish they sold them here.

Re: Best Looking New Small Sedan
since you can get the 159, i voted for that.
But a close second in the IS.

Re: Best Looking New Small Sedan
i've been seeing a lot of the bmws, the mercs, and the audis around seattle. the only one that i repeatedly look at is the merc. i don't know why. i hate the way they integrated the gps in the interior, but everything else works well.
bmw would be my second choice, audi third.
ironically, if i had cash to burn, i'd probably buy the lexus.

Re: Best Looking New Small Sedan
I think the BMW has the edge. The facelift has rekindled all the elements people liked about previous 3s while maintaining the cutting edge sharpness.
I absolutely love some things about the 159 though. But the big front overhang is too bare in profile and snouty in an unfortunate FWD way. Typical of Alfa, it has the best and worst touches of any car in this group.

Lexus and the BMW for me. But they are all very nice cars.
