the google map for who's online is pathetic

it claims i'm on the entire other fucking side of toronto from where i am. does it have a built in error factor of like 7km or something?...

if you click the "who's online" link it displays what we're looking at on the site, and displays where we are on google maps...

Mine is within a couple miles

Apps like that might be able to get close based on your IP, as in what city you're in, but I don't think they can track you all the way to your house.

yeah, mine is off by 5 miles or so, too. it's probably the center of the county or something.

Mines off by about 20 miles to the southwest.

Mine is off by about 18 miles. Not too bad

i think it's said to be accurate to 3 feet.

Yeah, if I get an iphone I think that will be one of the features that would make me interested. It's too bad I already have an ipod or it would be even more useful.
