Have we ever talked about the smoldering pile of shit that is the big bang theory?

I hate this show. It tries way too hard and just falls flat on its face. Its kind of like a pathetic mix of futurama and frasier. The girl is hot though.

Some of the episodes are pretty funny.  Some you can tell they're trying too hard. But, who cares?

The name sucks too. "Hey look everyone, we created a show called 'The Big Bang Theory', can you tell it is about nerds and science? lolz. " No subelty whatsoever in this show.

Plus its made by the dude who created 2.5 men. What else do I need to say?

You want them to come up with a name for the show that has nothing to do with what the show is about?

It's not about the creation of the universe, it's about 4 nerd stereotypes and their token hot neighbor.

They just picked a random name that sounded nerdy and smart. That's why it sucks.

It's not that it's a bad name per se, I just feel like it's a punch in the face telling you that the show is about science and nerds. Even if they just called it Big Bang it wouldn't be so bad. But they have to stick the "theory" on the end to make sure everyone knows it's a show for "smart" people!

I tried to watch it a few times, and like 99% of sitcoms out there, I didn't see anything in it.

Was flipping though the channels today and came across Eight Simple Rules. She was so hot in that show. She's still bangin', but in that show, not only was she 10+ years younger, but they really made a point of pointing out her assets.

Big Bang Theory is definitely a formulaic, heavily pandering sitcom. However, I do watch it sometimes. There's worse out there, and the jokes and setups can be pretty funny at times, but you can definitely see when they're shoehorning [NERD REFERENCE] into the plot, or going through the same tired formulas all the one-dimensional characters have, or shamelessly looking for an excuse to show off Kaley Cuoco's body. It's an okay show much of the time. My folks really like the show so when I visit them, it's something that we can watch together and laugh at. I don't go out of my way to watch it on my own, however.

Never actually watched an entire episode. I've seen little tidbits here and there. I don't really care for it. The Sheldon Cooper character makes me hate the show in all reality. He is just not a person I would want to deal with in real life, so why would I want to watch a half hour of him (and I know he's not the only character). Whether he is or not, he seems like a pompous know-it-all that thinks he's better than everyone else. I know some people like that in real life that I don't like to hang around with.

Most of the stuff in the show that I've seen isn't even jokes. It's just "haha, this guy is talking about star trek/star wars/comic books, etc. what a nerd" basically. I don't laugh at people because they like "nerdy" shit, whether that's because I like a lot of "nerdy" shit or not, I don't know.

The most annoying this is how many ridiculously hot chics are attracted to Leonard. Really? Dude's like 5'5".

Seinfeld did the same thing. Look at all the hot women Jerry and George got.

Jerry's like 5'10"... so definitely average height.

As someone who's also 5'10", I assure you, that's sufficient height to attract very hot women.

Yeah, I have read a couple of cracked articles before that reference just how many women George got with when he is supposed to be a fat bald pathetic loser character. I'm pretty sure it was at least 20-30 during the course of the show. The average for guys (women slept with) is only supposed to be between 5-10 I believe.

And Jerry was a decent height, but he was pretty plain looking otherwise.
Probably not going to attract alot of supermodel calibre women like that in real life.

Yeah, but you're ignoring that even in the show world Jerry was a semi well known comedian. He mightn't have ever really mentioned it himself, but it was implied plenty.

Also, don't forget that George was basically married to that really rich NBC executive chick that he killed with the poisoned envelopes. She wasn't super hot, but she was definitely out of his league.

But that's why it was a comedy. Basically George was a guy who did next to no real work, but still had plenty of money. Was short, fat, and bald, but still dated lots of hot chicks. And on top of all that complained about his life 24/7.

Basically he was AF - just with chicks and money.
