I may soon end my EA boycott
Soon meaning 2014.

I'd still be stuck with cheating-ass Madden for NFL games, but I might at least get to play a competing NCAA football game in a couple of years. We'll see how this pans out.

Oh, EA's still a bunch of evil cocksuckers, to be sure, and I'm not going to be buying very many of their games as most of them suck these days (EA made the boycott very easy), but this news combined with the loss of some of their other licenses in recent years may put the aforementioned new Sim City game in my sights at some point, as well as a few other older games I had been avoiding.
Re: I may soon end my EA boycott
IF they don't completely water down and ruin the franchise..i'll take a look, but I have a feeling they are going to dumb it down so far it wont even be the same.

I bought Madden last year, only because there was a Browns player on the cover. I played a couple of games and it was one of the worst games I’ve ever played. The screen was choppy and it consistently froze up. I only played two games of it. I don’t know why people buy that shit anymore.
Their hockey games are good, and when they introduced the dual stick controls, that was a game changer. However, the game still cheats, and it’s basically the same game released year after year. I will play a game on easy and win 3-2 while I have 73 shots and the computer has 10, or I’ll put it on hard and just get raped. I have NHL09 and that’s it.

They totally fucked the NFS franchise and I'm not entirely too happy what they did to the Maxis games.
