Because you might get your shit jacked

Police say client tied up attorney, stole SUV
Associated Press
Posted: July 7, 2008

ANDERSON, Ind. -- A man tied up his attorney and then stole his SUV on Monday as they were returning to jail from a court date, police said.

Anderson police were seeking 52-year-old Richard L. Hudson, who was described as 5-10, 150 pounds with blue eyes, gray hair and a full beard. He was last believed to be driving the attorney's red 2007 Ford Escape.

Police did not immediately release the attorney's name.

Police said the attorney told them he had gone with Hudson to a civil court hearing in Indianapolis and they were returning to the jail in Anderson when Hudson suddenly held a knife to his throat and forced him to drive to the Rangeline Nature Preserve in Madison County.

The attorney told police the man bound his hands and feet and then escaped with his wallet and SUV. The attorney later escaped and flagged down a passing motorist who called for help.

Hudson was being held in Madison County Jail on an unrelated charge connected to a domestic disturbance, police Sgt. Bill Casey said. He also had spent 24 years in a Florida prison for robbery.

Casey said Hudson was released with his attorney on a jail pass according to normal procedure.

Police say they consider Hudson armed and dangerous and are asking anyone who might know his whereabouts to contact authorities.

Funniest thing was in the comments though...

I blame this all on the conversation the attorney had with his client.
Client" Hey, nice vehicle, what type is it?"
Attorney: "Escape".
Client: "What?"
Attorney: "Escape".
Client: "Are you sure"?
Attorney: "Yes".
Clirnt: "Ok".
So he did. Good job ambulance chaser.
