Forza 4 footage leaked

This is apparently a video MS was putting together for E3. Despite it being April 1st, this looks legit. And fantastic

WHens it due out? With all these subpar racing games out lately its even more of a reason to look forward to it. I havent played shift 2 yet but havent heard very good things.

Should be out in October.

Looks awesome. I don't have a Kinect and probably never will, so that feature is useless to me. The car club thing is pretty cool. I am going to put some money aside for this game so I can actually buy it when it comes out.

Normally I'd have little interest in the Kinect, but when I get my three-paycheck month in July, I'm seriously thinking about picking up an Xbox Slim + Kinect bundle. The bigger hard drive and wireless is worth picking up the Xbox for, and that head-tracking feature for Forza would be awfully nice.

Interestingly enough, in that flurry of manufacturer logos, it shows a few new additions, like Mercury, Suzuki, Tesla, and GMC.

Also a logo for AMG Transport Dynamics, which is the company that makes the Halo Warthog

People more perceptive than me have noticed Indianapolis, Infineon, and Hockenheimring.

And the bullshit thing is that EA is trying to pass it off as one of the most physically realistic racing games ever made. I got excited when I saw that but now the reviews are out and people are saying it's anything but. Fuckin' EA. Just trying to sneak a few sales in on the simulation people. EA=EVil Assholes

I'm waiting for April 30th for the new Driver game to come out, play that all summer, and camp out in the man cave with FM4 come fall. Hoo rah.

Driver should be fun. It's going to be more like a GTA style game isnt it? Not totally focused on the driving like the past games?

No, the past two driver games were more GTA style and they're getting away from that, going back to the roots of the original. I SO 'CITED!

Pfft, my $100 Arcade red ringed ONCE after almost two years, they warrantied it, I got it back in less than two weeks, and its been rock solid since then.

Tjett, the rrod was really only an issue on older systems. I had one on my original, sent it back under warranty and got it fixed, got it again a couple years later out of warranty and fixed it myself. I bought an elite since then for the hdmi for my new tv and haven't had any issues with it.

It was just a love tap from a PS3er.
I'll be getting a 360 someday...like when I have money for it. but with my luck by that time, they'll be releasing the next XBox, and it won't be retro-compatible.

I was playing GT5 til the controller died. That's another thing I dont like about the PS3. The controller doesnt turn itself off if you go away from it for a while like the xbox's does. So now I have to charge it with the arm length charging cord.

I've gotten pretty good at AA battery changes in my Xbox remote. It's like a geeky little pit stop that I've had to perform during actual pit stops in FM3.

NiMH batteries FTW.

I use battery packs and charging cords. Used to use nimh batteris but I got tired of charging them and swapping them all the time.

And you only get so many charges before they stop lasting as long.

I always just plug it back in when I'm done playing.

They last long enough to pay for themselves many times over, and I can use them in other things, like my camera. The 3 sets I've got now have been doing well for about 3 years.

Sure it does. You can set it to whatever you want. It's in the settings somewhere. I can't remember where but it's not hard to find. Mine turn off automatically after five minutes of non-use.

I bought a 10ft chord for $10 bucks a while back. Plenty long enough for emergency's.

So I won an FM3 unicorn car for making a humorous comment on Turn 10's Facebook page, and all I have to do is message them my tag. But I don't know how to message them...there's no option for it like with an individual's page. Jay feels dumb.

God I haven't touched Forza in forever. Ever since Microsoft bent me over and expects me to pay for a 3 month gold I never requested, I have had no urge to get back on Live for now.

I'm an idiot. I re-upped for Live back in February because I had a free month, plus my subscription was up. "I'll play Forza all the time" I said. "Driver San Fran will be out by summer" they said.

We were wrong. I raced online in FM3 maybe 4 hours in the past four months. I use Live mainly for Netflix and Last.fm.

Maybe I should get more than racing games? Can't. Have to save my pennies for Driver and FM4.

Im playing l.a. noire right now. Pretty decent game.

Mortal Kombat is pretty good, too.

I made it up to the Arson desk before I had to return the game to the video store. It's okay, but I find much of the gameplay tedious. Interrogations and interviews are tricky, because I'm often not sure if a truth or doubt would be best in particular situations, and there have been many times I picked "lie" and matched it with a piece of evidence I thought would be perfect, only to find out I'm wrong. Sifting through clues is boring because you get a cue that you're near something, and half the time it's a stupid beer bottle. And I'm baffled that Rockstar would publish a game with an open-ended driving world that I don't want to fucking drive through. Because of the time period, all of the cars are giant ill-handling boats, hitting a few things has a drastic impact on your rating and your game, responding to street crime can be a pain in the ass later in the game, as sometimes the street crime is all the way across the city, and the cars just suck during chases. I'd gotten to where I just always had the partner drive to a destination.

The storyline's great and the facial animations make things really immersive. But the actual gameplay mechanics are lacking. It seems the game always contrives a way to keep the story going, so there's really no sense of urgency to get things right. It's more an interactive movie than a game.
