It's some pretty fun racing though. The structure of the leagues, scheduling, and sponsors makes it feel like you're actually managing a career and a team. One of my big gripes with racing games is that they emphasize you have to win win win every single race or else you suck, when in the real world, you rarely see a driver win all of the races in a season. I'd like to see a more indepth game, like Forza or GT, take a similar but more expanded approach to managing your team or career.

Fuck Forza, it's all about the winning too. Most of the time you're racing 6 cars you outclass, and one ringer. And if you don't win, the ringer does.

I've only done about 10 single player races, but a lot more online because i'm not a total loner like Jay. It's been good so far.

Yeah, it was disappointing to see how badly out of balance some of the competition was, and it's not like it would have been difficult to even things up a bit with their vaunted improved class system. Let's see...your competitors are all C class except this one A class guy. Gee I wonder how that's going to turn out.

XBox Live is so fun though, what with all the 12 year old constantly calling each other fags and yelling about all their miniscule accomplishments. I'm part of an aussie forum of gamers 24 and over. I've only played with those guys so far. I haven't had to worry about idiot randoms much at all lately.

Since saturday night i've played Shadowrun with a group 14, Halo 3 with 16 and COD2 with 8 people and not a random has been in sight.

If I owned RB6:V2 I could jump in a game with a dozen people tonight and then tomorrow i'll be playing COD4 which already has 14 people signed up for it. Then thursday it's GTA4, although only 3 people have signed up for that so far, but it was only put up this morning.

Yeah, maybe so, but I've not ever been too into the online play. It's fun sometimes and in certain games.

Had a great Grid moment last night where my teammate was in the lead and I was in 3rd and I clawed my up to where the 2nd place guy was pestering my teammate. I battled for the 2nd spot and at one point the 2nd place car got out of position for a turn and I took advantage and slowed him up quite a bit as I took 2nd place just before the last turn of the race. My teammate went on to victory.

I almost said to the screen, "You're all clear kid, now let's blow this thing and go home!"

Just picked up battlefield: bad company. It was supposd to be out tomorrow but apparently has no street date so they could sell when it arrived.

Man, on Grid, I am absolute rubbish on the last half-dozen turns of Circuit de la Sarthe before the kinks leading onto the Start/Finish straight. I cannot find the right line in this game. Meanwhile, fucking GT class cars are zooming past my prototype car without even lifting off the throttle, and I'm understeering like a motherfucker no matter how I approach things
