ive never tried a second gen miata, but i sat in a first gen and the only way i was comfortable in the car was when i put the roof down. it's like a sardine can in there...

I'm lazy and would gladly take a car with an automated manual, (not an automatic with shift buttons!). Especially if it's quicker than its full manual counterpart.
Manual is fun and engaging to drive, but 90% of the time I'm on the highway, sometimes stuck in traffic, and have the kids in the car.
Boo.
