Did you buy all upgrades yet? You have to do that before you can do works.

No, I haven't bought them all... most but not all. Doubt I will get to that point.

It's a shame the physics suck so much ass. There are some bad ass cars in the game and the graphics are pretty good.

It's not shit. It's not as good as alot of people expected, but it's def. not shit. Shit would be the earlier NFS games like Carbon and Pro Street. God those sucked.

However as stated earlier I will be trading it on DiRT 2 quite soon.

And I just sent Wolfenstein back to Gamefly and will be getting Batman : Arkham Asylum next. :perv:

I love how shift is always warning you not to cut corners, drive backwards etc. because it is unsportsmanlike, but yet encourages you to crash into other cars and try to make them crash. WTF MAN.

and it rewards sliding around corners? that's not good unless you're drifting. it fucking slows you down. WTF EA.

When I'm playing GTA my wife always yells at me for driving down the wrong side of the road, getting super close to cars that I overtake, etc.
"This isn't Burnout, you're not gonna earn boost."

She'd love Shift, maybe.

Got $31 for it. $26 towards CoDII and $5 towards R&C!

btw i still cant believe you guys are writing off a game using the WRONG controller to play it...the isi engine was _NEVER_ designed to be played using a controller...ea just tried to port it to that type of user, and as expected failed misureably.

NFS shift uses the exact same physics engine as GTR/GTL/Race...all of which games are hailed as some of the best sims around..none of which are playable without a proper steering wheel (and proper gaming device, pc).

consoles blow for racing games...FIN RANT

i dont know about you but i dont want to play a racing game on my dinky little 22 inch monitor. the only thing i play on pc is rts games, and thats only because you cant really play them on consoles since they have too many controls. and i do have an xbox wheel and a playseats racing chair (which is awesome) but i have only used it a couple times so far.

I used to play games on my computer, but they ended up taking over the thing and it became so bogged down with games it was so slow to do anything. I had to buy an external HD just to store the damn things because they take up so much HD space.

Now? Fuck it. I use my computer for computer shit and my gaming machines for gaming.

(btw you can tell the GT5 458 was being controlled by a joystick and not a wheel)

Joysticks really do blow for racing games. Sometimes you just need to have finer control over the car than it allows. Which is happenign to me right now and making me think of hooking up my wheel.

Only console game I used a wheel for was GT4 and it sucked. I had the 'official' wheel and everything, but it had so much on-center slop and was touchy as fuck everwhere else I returned it to the store.
Plus I have no good place to mount a wheel and pedals in my family room.

I agree that rts games are really the only ones worth playing on pc anymore. Look at a game like modern warfare, the xbox controls are so good for that game that I can't even imagine playing it on pc. Racing game controls don't really seem like they'd be complex enough to be better on pc.

well the mouse does give more precise control in first person shooters for most people, but id still rather play them on console most of the time.
