No word on Mid-Ohio yet. I'd be a bit skeptical of the 100 tracks thing. They probably mean 100 different course layouts on potentially 25-30 different environments. That's still nothing to sneeze at, and I may be wrong, but I'm skeptical. As it is, there are 17 tracks confirmed so far and another 4 that have been hinted at.

finally. ive been waitng for fox body mustangs in a game forever. also i hope they have 3rd gen camaros.

cool, a celica supra's in it. and finally a classic miata instead of that ugly whatever the hell it was one in forza 2. the one with the fugly wing and headlight covers.

i just hope its not too arcadey. it doesnt have to be like race pro realistic, although that would be cool, but if its too arcadey it will ruin the game for me.

What I would like to see in these games are sportscar tracks that are no longer around, not made up tracks in San Francisco, Washington DC, or some mountain. One I would love to see is Meadowdale International Raceway in Carpentersville, IL. I'd post a link, but I'm on my phone, so I can't. It's worth a look though, it was a 3.72 mile track with what they called the "Monza Wall", a high banked turn off the main stretch. It was a sweet track that I wish it was around today.

Car games always look so cool but I always have such a hard time really getting into them.

that's why i bought a wheel and playseats racing chair. makes the games alot more fun, although i like them even with a controller. you have more precise control over the car, like in real life.

anyway, if youre racing online against mature people who race clean in a car you built and tuned yourself, well that's pretty freakin fun. i think anyone with any interest in cars and racing would appreciate that. it's the next best thing to doing it in real life and not having to spend thousands of dollars.

no you dont. if you did you would already have one or would go out and get one. you make good money and it's not like theyre that expensive. a 16-year old working part time at a gas station could afford one.

You know, I think I could really get into video games. Sadly I don't have the financial initiative to invest in a decent console (PS3, XBox, etc), and I get head aches when I play them. But they look like fun.

theyre very much worth the small investment they require. especially games with like forza or call of duty with high replay value. wally would probably particularly enjoy games like oblivion, fallout 3, and bioshock.

the only thing with you is that if you actually own a 15" tv or whatever you would need to buy a new one (HD, 2-3x larger size) to really see the power of these modern consoles. i cant imagine playing them on a dinky standard def tv.

What's this about having to buy the $80 special edition to get the ZR1???

i dunno, but im getting the special edition. ive only gotten a special edition for one other game and that was gta4.

screw that. i want spa and monza. noone ever puts those two in games for some reason

monza is in race pro. that first turn is a pain in my nuts.

My NFS: Shift has shipped. Hopefully I have time to play it this week and hope it's good. Initially, I was thinking it'd be a hold-me-over until FZ3 but IGN gave it a 9.0 so I am hoping I am pleasantly surprised

Race Pro isn't that good, IMHO. Rent it first.
