haha awesome, they have american racing outlaw II wheels in here. when i put them on the red IROC I pretty much have my first car, although I only had an RS 305 TBI.

the drag racing is kind of annoying. it auto revs for you until like a half second before the green light so you have hardly any time to try to get the revs to where you can do a good launch. i am running mid 15s with a iroc that IRL is supposed to do low 14s. i dont know how much of that is the game making the car slower than its supposed to be or me not able to get a good launch. but i noticed that forza 2 seemed to make certain cars slower than they would probably be in real life.

and stop making me watch the "car pulling up to the line/brakes squeaking/car revving" scene before EVERY RACE AND RESTART. and of course you cant skip through it. bloody annoying.

I can't remember the last time I bought a new game on release day. Wow.

Still haven't taken it out of the bag though. Stupid kids watching stupid TV right before bed. GO TO BED! DADDY WANTS FORZA TIME!!!!

I am surprised Best Buy hasn't shipped my FZ3 yet. Kind of pissed. They shipped my NFS before the release day so I had it in hand on the release day. Not that it matters much, my 360 is all packed up and I just got my new R&C game yesterday for PS3. It's going to be a tough choice to decide which to play first. I don't do well going back and forth between games; I much prefer to play one at a time and completely beat it before moving on to the next.

People try to act like you're selfish if you don't want kids and I've always thought that was ridiculous. Just because you don't want to drop every dime you have on offspring that does not make you selfish. There are trade offs to everything in life and I'm not sure I want to give up on all the potential trips and other fun I could be having. The problem is finding a woman who feels the same way.

the cars look great and all, but in some ways, even GT4 looks more realistic. sure the cars are alot more jagged looking, but the way they do the shading or lighting/reflections makes them look less cartoony than forza cars. if forza could only combine the high polygon count with the lighting/color pallete of gt4 it would look super realistic.

FUCK the gay ass auto revving/car shaking/wheel pulling up HAS TO GO. its before every race, even drags, so you get like a half a second to try to get to a good rev range to launch. makes it very frusturating. also, no trap speeds? wtf.. drag mode is half assed, to say the least.

i dont want to be the first to say it, but i have a laundry list of complaints about this game. frankly im a bit dissapointed with it and left looking forward to gt5.

i dont want to get into it because ill be here all night, but let me just say that drag racing mode sucks. it's like they put zero thought and effort into it.

and do the test run of a drag strip. the time starts immediately after loading giving you literally no time at all to prepare for a good launch. what the hell were they smoking when they made this game?

oh, and i love how you can give a car like 900hp and then the widest tires you can put on it are like 245mm. it was like that in forza 2, too.

and how about how you can for example drop an R32 AWD drivetrain into a gti, give it a twin turbo to put out around 700hp, get race components for it all around, and visually the car still has the stock pea shooter exhaust from the 90hp engine?

I haven't tried the drag racing, but I was pretty meh about the feature anyway. If I never touch that part of the game, I won't be disappointed

One of these days I'll actually get to do some sort of race ONLINE! I've been wanting to get into the F-Class SA madness, but I've only done a handful of races offline yet and I'm still trying to get a proper F-Class car together.

I love this game. Never touched the drag racing and doubt I will. I want some sort of AF class challenge.

That's retarded. And I love how the steering wheel blocks the most important part of the tachometer. That was one of my complaints when I played the demo. What a bunch of fuck that is.

Sounds like they rushed to release this game and cut a lot of corners. Ffffffffffffffffffffffffuck I hate when games do that. Just take the extra few months and make it RIGHT the first time.

yup, thats why sony is taking so long with gt5, they are trying to avoid pissing off the fans like forza 3 has to so many so far.

and the cockpit view is pathetic. i know they whined about having to make so many car models as an excuse, but if youre not going to do it right don't do it at all.

yeah we haven't even touched the ps3 in ages..it just sits there collecting dust. I imagine we'll get GT5 when it comes out..maybe..not sure yet though if its the same rinse and repeat bullshit GT5 prologue is then i'll pass.

a large part of why forza 3 has problems is that they did alot of stuff to appeal to casual racers, and that of course always ends up screwing the enthusaists. gt5 will likely be made exclusively for the enthusiasts though, noobs need not apply.

I remember back when you and I would argue on which was better of the GT series or Forza. Looks like you've switched sides.

ive been a gt fan since the original came out for ps1 12 (or is it 11?) years ago. id still say its the best racing franchise, even if there is alot less customization potential. gt has the edge in precision and detail imo.

I could have swore we used to argue about which was better... But, yea, I've always been a GT fanboy.

I still have my doubts, I think GT5 will still be the watered down semi-simulation its always been.

IMO if you can use a stick/controller to control the cars adequately, its not a sim.

well RY everyone bitches about games that have a steep learning curve..but then they bitch when a game isnt accurate..you cant have both.

if you want an easy going racing game..just call it a game..not a sim, that way people wont be confused

its two separate forms of entertainment

when i'm sim racing its intense, you get physically exhausted and the amount of concentration makes my adrenaline surge and there's satisfaction just in doing well

with a game like NFS or GT its a different feeling, its more like a goal to beat the game more than anything you just want to advance through it and thats where the satisfaction comes from

differnt strokes for differnt folks..but dont try and please both cause you end up pissing off both
