Brutal Legand (w/ Jack Black)
So I played the demo for this game and it was pretty cool. I didn't expect much but it is very God of War-esque. Very similar movements, visuals, attacks and stuff. It's almost as though the makers played GoW and tried to mimic it with a totally different plot, but keep the gameplay virtually identical. I am not sure how I feel about that yet. Don't take my word for it (see pics). Though not as brutal, it is brutal with cursing (m.f. bombs) and blood. Might have to pick this up some time.
Oh, and there's metal music everywhere, which is awesome.

I finally got around to playing the demo last night myself. I liked it but won't be buying it myself because I can't afford it. My mate I live with is a big heavy metal fan so I'll mention it to him and try to convince him to buy it.
Brutal Legend has real time strategy segments to it as well if you didn't know.

What do you mean by that?
Also, BL has little mini games just like GoW. But, rather than shoving a blade in something and ripping it in half you're playing a guitar solo to get something to happen.

Real time strategy, like Command & Conquer and the like.
IGN wrote:When it comes time to play the game instead of watching you'll find a mix of genres coming together to create a variety of gameplay opportunities. Most of the story missions are real-time strategy battles that find you commanding troops on a battlefield made up to look like an epic rock concert. But the ability to join the fight and deal out a little justice of your own adds some action to the strategy. Outside of story missions the game can be a beat 'em up or a shooter or a racer. The pieces all come together well without any of these mechanics feeling tacked on or inadequate.
The RTS-style battles turn out to be great fun in multiplayer, too. Here players can choose to lead any of the game's three factions, giving folks a chance to play the bad guys. Up to eight people can join the fight online with four on each side. There are seven maps, each with the simple goal of destroying your opponents' base. The mode is great fun and happily extends the life of Brutal Legend after a shorter single-player campaign.

Watched some dude playing it at some party last night. Didn't really care for it. Graphics were not that great (360 & 42in LCD), and the one liners got old.
But then again I don't usually play games like this so I should shut the fuck up already.

I'm reminded of that stupid PSP Go commercial where there's a couple of scenes where it looks like there's some cool shit going on, but someone's playing a PSP instead of cavorting with babes and getting laid, and that's supposed to be awesome.
