Anyone else get Beatles Rock Band?

It's pretty cool and exactly what you'd expect. Some of the backgrounds for different songs are trippy as shit

yes, and it fucking rules.

im on the fence about getting it, gameflying it, or just playing it over omni's house. i plan on buying at least one other video game this month and several more in the months ahead.

why do they have to be $60 a pop?

Man, I never really got into the Rock Band/ Guitar Hero thing...

there's nothing cool about hitting plastic buttons on an odd shaped controller.

I haven't bought a new video game in forever. There hasn't been anything out recently that interests me. Oh well, the next three months there will be more than I have time for. Just got notice that my NFS: Shift shipped.

I can't operate a Guitar Hero guitar for shit. I've never really sat down and put a lot of effort into it, but when I've picked one up at a display or at a friend's house, I'm absolutely lousy with the fret buttons.

Same here. Maybe that's why I never got in to it. I think I could put less effort into learning the songs on the real guitar.

If you play it on medium it isn't bad. I never play on hard or expert because I just don't care enough to get that good. I'm not even sure I could.

i just watched a demo of the game. looks pretty fucking sweet.

I can do the drums pretty good on those games... That's about it.

i can play guitar almost flawlessly on medium. i can do most of the stuff on hard too but once they start throwing the fifth (orange) button in the mix that's what really messes me up. i just can't seem to control my pinkie very well.

i think these games are best played in a relaxed type setting. maybe with a few friends, some beers, ya know. but putting alot of effort into getting really good is a waste of time imo. might as well learn a real instrument. which actually might help you get chicks. being good at a video game will never get you chicks.

stuff like rock band and GH is best at parties. my friend and her husband used to have GH parties, and they were pretty fun.

I suck at guitar hero because my hands want to play the real parts, not the made up guitar hero buttons.

i got it, it's fun. it really captures the excitement of beatlemania. and the videos are cool. too bad im only mediocre at these games.

guitar i mean. singing i do pretty well at most of the time.
