Whoops

Post by JaysonAych on Mon Jul 28, 2014 2:45 am

I got drunk and went through some of my old Facebook posts (blacked out my name because Imgur)

(my car stickered for about $21,000)

My WRX was only 26k, not sure if it has all the bells and whistles that your car might though. But it's fast, so yeah. Probably one of the best bang for your buck performance cars out there.

Close enough. My point at the time was that I thought it was silly for a Focus to cost anywhere near that much, since that's bumping up into Fusion territory.

Not that I'm unhappy with my purchase, of course, but at the time, it seemed like a lot of money for a compact car. My V6 Stratus stickered for about that much (though I only paid around $14k for it due to it being a demo that had been on the lot for a year). Inflation is weird.

Yeah, just a few months after I got it. I was using stage 2 for a while with the mods that I had, then I got a protune. Most of the time nowadays I just use the economy map though to save a bit on gas.

If I lived in the US and had 22k I can only begin to imagine the awesome used car that cash would be swapped for...

I'm not sure if its as bad in a fairer climate like pa, but in the hot hot heat of florida, that thing ran like complete garbage till he put the cobb tuner in, I was pretty impressed, and kind of disappointed in Subaru. Still was a decent car for the time he had it though.

Things got a bit more serious after that though Razz

New cars are getting stupid expensive these days. Trucks are even worse.

I know, C-segment cars are going for $20-25K. And we're not even talking top of the line models, either.

well, how about paying 24250 USD for a base golf? with the 85hp 1.2 engine, non metallic paint. and like, full on basic. like manual windows in the rear, no aircon, foldable rear seat or anything.

cause that's what we belgians pay.

Jayzus. That's how much we pay for a GTI. And our base engine is a 1.8T.

no they're not, actually. if you buy through me, it's 5 euros (plus shipping) for a box of (20 ish) waffles.

even in the vending machines, we pay, like, 60 cents for a waffle?!
