What
I am by no means a lubricant junky, actually i'm getting less picky on it after seeing vehicles go 10K+ on their first oil change and have no issue.
But why does Mobil have Mobil Super Synthetic, Mobil 1, Mobil 1 Fuel Economy, Mobil 1 Extended Performance, Mobil 1 High Mileage.
It's like 80's GM J-body confusion...

Re: What
It kinda does seem like GM and their different/same models and their quest to capture all demographics.
3 or 4 different versions of what is essentially the same car. The Buick Lesabre/Olds 88 will go for the old folks, the Pontiac Bonneville the young-ish folks, and the Chevy Lumina will get any other straglers.
