outside of honor though, they are pretty good..if not a little low in the creativity department. A7x is better.

Based solely on that song the singer sounds like he's just whining up until it starts to sound reminiscent of cannibal corpse.

A7X is awesome. Their last two CD's are both mint.

I like his vocals. I really like bands that have some singing and barking (FFDP, Killswitch, ATR*, Demon Hunter, etc).

*All That Remains is also one of my current favorites.

I actually like earlier A7X better, back when they were just pure, raw death metal. new-school is good too, City of Evil's probably my favorite album by them, just because there's so much good shit on there: Blinded in Chains, Trashed and Scattered, and of course Beast and the Harlot have to be the best songs on that CD. but those first couple of albums they put out, you can just bang your head till you're dizzy. good stuff.


I'm also starting to like Coheed and Cambria a little too. Some people I know say they sound kinda whiny, but I don't think so. Yeah, so the singer doesn't have a deep guttural voice, it still doesn't sound half bad.

I just can't get into death metal. Also, Coheed and Cambria has some good tunes but I do find it hard to listen to the lead singer. He just sounds like such a pussy sometimes.
