Fallout 3 - Page 2 Empty Re: Fallout 3

Post by dunnas Tue Nov 04, 2008 7:14 am

I got the game on thursday but have only played it once so far. Only just left the vault. I've been not in the mood or away since then. I had always planned on being bad in this game but just in the time of the vault and my 5 minutes outside i've already reverted to my last save 3 times.

early Spoilers below

Firstly I got the teacher to cheat on the GOAT for me, thinking he was only joking about it, so I had to reload so I could actually take it (only to cheat afterwards to get what i wanted)

Then as i was escaping I came across a couple of security people that i killed. I didn't know one was the overseer until amata (if that's the right name) was going off at me for killing her dad. Amata is too damn cute for me to want her to be mad at me. So I reloaded and snuck past them the next time.

Finally, i'd just got outside and had done a little explorign the area without anything being found. I followed the compass to megaton only to be greated by some odd robot. I thought i'd hit him with my baseball bat. he warned me not to so I thought i'd hit him again. he attacks me with some crazy laser and a human comes out to help him attack me. After killing them both I search the humans body and i see "sherrif hat" and Sherrif duster". I just thought "fuck", killing the sherrif before I even enter the town can't be a good thing. I just shut down the xbox after that.

So basically, it looks like i'm going to be a heroic pussy like i've been in fable. I just want people to like me damnit. :sonofscreamo:

I've been more of a force for good so far, but I'm not above petty theft and unauthorized computer entry. That pays off quite a bit.

I'll probably be more evil when I go through it the 2nd time. Which will probably happen sometime in 2010 given the size and scope of the game wub wub wub

Well you're no help. I also don't consider pety theft and anauthorised computer entry as bad. They're just things that need to be done while nobody is watching.

I'm talking more about major bad things like blowing Megaton up which is what i've read is the first really big descision you have.

Well my karma is about 3 ticks below satan's right now and I am doing alright. If your karma swings too far in either direction you get people hunting you down which basically means you will stumble upon groups of 3-4 mercenaries that you have to utterly destroy and take their guns.

if you resist the urge to blow up megaton and save the city, you'll get an apartment to live in there, which is handy as shit. i have no idea what kind of a storyline you follow if you do nuke megaton. that'll be my next time around. i'm a saint right now. being good still gets you hunted all the time.

Can't walk around the damn place with someone wanting to give me shit. Yes yes, I get it, thank you, now leave me alone...I don't need a box of irradiated food.

Apparently Fallout 3 has already outsold every other Fallout game ever made including the spinoffs. Combined.

games on my plate that i own and have barely touched but still want to play at some point

Metal Gear Solid 4
Crackdown
Oblivion
Fable II
BF Bad Company
Gears of War
Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2
GRID
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
The Orange Box

And I still have more stuff to do in Mass Effect. And I still need to buy and play Fallout 3. And COD5 is coming out in a few days. My problem is I like games from almost every genre. With the size of the typical game nowadays and the rate at which they release them, its almost impossible to play them all unless you do it all day every day. And even then it would be tough. Im never going to catch up on all these games. :undies:

I try not to buy games unless I know I'm going to like them. The only games I own for the 360 are Dirt, Assassin's Creed, Halo 3, Mass Effect, COD4, Fable 2, and soon to be COD5.

Once I did what Moira wanted in the Anchorage Memorial, I hauled ass out of there. I hate those fucking Mirelurks. I never did find that broken door...still carrying the component around. Now that I've finished all of Moira's tasks and ammo/stimpaks are not a problem, I might head back there sometime soon.
