All of this 'my car is slower than your car talk' yesterday and I was very relieved to recall I had driven the Evo to work and I couldn't wait to unleash all of its 380ish HP on the unsuspecting freeway entrance ramp on the way home.

I love my car but don't really care about fast anymore. Its nice to have a quick car and all, but I'm more interested in being able to get to out of the way places more for my next purchase.

it seems like they never give a shit about making the economy models faster through the years, but the higher models like maxima, altima, camry, accord, etc. get faster every few years. the sentras and corollas and civics are pretty much as slow as they always were.

That's probably because most people buying them aren't really interested in speed. If they were they'd get something like a maxima instead. Econoboxes are just that, all about saving money and honestly I think you made the right choice for now. Paying off your debt and shit is a lot more important than a little fun on the way to work.

HOLY FUCK I'M BECOMING WALLY! NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
That's because that's what an econo-box essentially is. If you had an STi or, even a tier up, Porsche, you may not think that way. Depends on how you define your own car: is it a point-a to point-b economy car or is it an engineering and aesthetic work of art?
That's how I feel about my Subaru vs Evo, anyway. The Subaru is exactly what I wanted for a dd car, but it really makes me realize how awesome the Evo is and how much better it is in virtually every way.
I completely agree with Talon. I used to drive a civic and I thought "not bad, it gets me where I want to go, I can pass people on the highway without too much trouble". However, I was in the market for an AWD car and was looking at a WRX and figured thats all I really need, heck, its more than I need.
Then I went for a ride in raska's STI....... I was sold, but couldn't convince myself to part with 50 grand..... Then I test drove it myself. I bought one a week later. Now, Every time I get in my car, even to go to the store I say to myself "I love my car".
A 135i is really tempting. Only problem is there are so many great used cars out there I could get into for less than a third of the price. Indecision will probably keep me in the MR2 until I write it off.
Swerve- Enough levity. It's time for further dismay.
