Hondaman

Post by Bluntman on Tue Jun 30, 2009 12:15 pm

On old AF there was a guy Hondaman who passed away. I am on a Honda site for my 88 Accord LXI where the guys are very knowledgable about repairs on these vehicles. They were talking about not hearing from a member named Hondaman87 for quite sometime, I believe they said his name was Josia. Is that the screen name he went by? If it is him can you give me some info about what happened? If not him thanks anyway. Hondaman was before I was around but I hear he was a great guy.

Billy died from head trauma

the autopsy doctor said he had hypertensive heart disease and likely died from a heart attack..and that he had no interior or exterior head injury..

Blunt,

I dont know the guys full name. But his sister or brother did come on the forums to tell us he passed away at age 21. He had a bad heart since he was a kid. Hondaman87 was his screen name on AF too.

So there is the proof how fast your friends forget you....Hondaman87's real name was Brian Beck.
He died 2001 or 2002, new years day?

AF started in July/August 2001. :hmmm:

I joined in December 2001 and he had only just recently died then.

It's possible I actually joined in January not December, so that would fit in perfectly with what I remember.

he died new years day, 2001. those letters that were in my sig on the old board:
BBHM878101RIP//
were for him
Brian Beck, Hondaman87 1981-2001, Rest in Peace. the two slashes were meant to represent the two black hashmark stripes racing teams put on the fenders of their cars to honor a fallen teammate or fellow racer.

scary thing: he was three days older than me.
