a cup while driving to work, get dunkin donuts just b4 i get to work, get starbucks (white chocolate moca espresso with 3 shots) at lunch, then when my co worker goes on lunch i tell him to get me another one, then when I leave depending on traffic ill get another one or have some b4 i go to bed..

if i stopped i'd get headaches and curl up into a ball and cry.

He will try to cover with something gay like "why diet cokes?", which is stupid... if I drank 5 cans of coke a day that'd be around 600 extra calories a day... even bodybuilders don't want that.

Hmm, that could be, actually. Definitely makes sense, since I have heard that diet drinks are bad for dieting, since they just end up lowering your blood sugar, making you hungrier. And insulin would probably have to be the mechanism.

I drink a heap of water in the evenings at home. I prefer something tastier with lunch though, and often one in the evening when I first kick back on the computer. Speaking of water, I just realised when I went for a piss 3 minutes ago I left the bottle in the bathroom that I took to fill up with water.

i used to drink about 2.5 liters of water a day and i got to the point where i rarely ever drank anything else, even with meals. i felt so much more energized and alert then when i was drinking soda/juice etc.

water has to be cold though, otherwise it fucking sucks.

insulin is VERY bad for you when it rushes into your system to break down all the sugar that isnt actually there. not to mention numerous studies linking artifical sweeteners to cancer.




i actually only drink water. sometimes skim milk, sometimes iced tea.

it's pretty much just coffee, tea and water for me. occasionally orange juice, but that's pretty rare...

and of course copious amounts of various alcohols.

Yeah I'm not counting alcohol...I drink vast seas of beer.

Juice I try not to drink, i feel it isn't natural to drink a glass of OJ since that's essentially consuming like 6 oranges in 30 seconds.

i'm drinking a hazelnut-flavored coffee right now. i've only had a few sips, and i've already got a stomach ache.

i've been enjoying three thirds of a pot "slightly too strong" coffee

I'm on cup 3 of "espresso" keurig. What that means I'm not sure.

Im going to make 2 shots of espresso for myself right now. Chase it with a Jameson.

They might be bad in some other way, but diabetic people are actually told that they canhave splenda/aspartame (saccharine is dangerous though, for other reasons)

What I am going to say is not the case of pennz. Pennz simply made an observation of something that might or might not be true, and made a good point. What I am going to say is NOT the case of pennz (or any other poster in this thread), he gave a good opinion.

Some fucking hippies go like "ooooooooohhh diet drinks suck, you should be drinking pure water! Diet soda has evil things on it! ". They get so crazy about it that they come with things like "diet sodas and drinks displace other useful liquids, such as water" (guess what sodas are made with? duh!). Their reasoning is that diet sodas are bad because you should be drinking pure water, and because you could be drinking something healthy instead (such as orange juice). So their screaming is more based on that's there better stuff out there, not that the diet drinks are bad per se. Of course, they're so loud and vocal they make it sound like a fact to others.

If I was drinking a "healthy" fruit juice or something like that instead of diet sodas I'd weight 80 pounds more lol.

One thing that is true, however is that diet sodas have a lot of phosphorous. It will displace calcium in your bones, so you need to offset it with vitamin D milk and cheese.

What about broccoli and lettuce salads instead of a fat, juicy hamburger? Or what about beets with asparragus instead of pizza?

It is much better, but to some degree it just isn't feasible if you actually want to enjoy what you eat/drink...
