It's been the most bitter-fuck cold winter I can remember. I'll be glad when it's over. With a few exceptions, it's been 10-25 degrees below average the whole damn season.

in seattle, they don't show the weather for the rest of the country on the news, so i have to try to catch bits and pieces on msnbc. looks like most of the country suffered this winter.

i guess we did, too, with the mini blizzard and all, but it was still nothing compared to what i had to endure in rochester. that shit was fucking fucked.

I bought a winter coat just before last winter. It replaced a trusty faithful coat that I'd worn for ten winters, but was getting too ratty and faded for even a hobo to wear. The new one is toasty as shit, but it's already falling apart. I had buttons either fall off or get the threads pulled out of them within a couple of months, and this winter I've lost a couple more buttons plus two teeth in the zipper have fallen out, and the stitching on one of the pockets is tearing away. Expected the fucking thing to last longer than this.

It was crazy trying to get to work Monday. It took me almost an hour when it normally takes 20 mins. A tractor trailer almost ran me of the road, I saw 2 pretty bad accidents, and slid all over the fucking place. Luckily I still made it to subway for a 5 dollar footlong before I got to work.

Thats just how deep it was. The sign was in the snow. This was a powder day with 2 feet of fresh. That pass gets over 400" of snow per year.
