Car Pictures

Post by SBF on Mon Mar 16, 2009 2:10 pm

Here's some pictures I have taken in the last several years of stuff I've worked on or seen.

This is the '73 Mustang Convert I restored for a client back in '05.

It is a clean car, but its a dog. It only had a 302 w/ 2bbl carb. My idiot friend who thinks he knows about cars got a ride in it and when I floored it from a standstill, didn't even chirp the tires, and took about 10 seconds to get from 0-60, he responded with "Man, this thing is fast" and he was far from being sarcastic.

what a dork.
but still, you'd think a 302, even from '73, would at least get a couple rotations of wheelspin off. Were those engines really that bogged down?

With a 2bbl Carb yeah. They were only 141 hp and easily weighed easily 4000 lbs or more. Shit, the 2 bbl 351 only had 177 hp. I'd be surprised if you could pull off a brake-torque with that.
