I guess they decided on doing this back in October 2008.

to be fair for the past couple of years the montreal circuit has been a fucking joke. repairing the track in between qualifying sessions ffs

Also, for a supposedly world wide motor-sport to have no presence in North America is absurd. I hope they bring something back in 2010.

yeah, it's sad, as a canadian, but the people organizing the race really were not putting the effort into the race that they should. they let the track go to shit, and then still expected to command lower fees.

i think bernie asks for way too much money (cause he's in hock up to his eyeballs with cvc), but the canadian gp organizers dropped the ball as well. it's pretty pathetic all-around...
