There's a columnist on their site (David Fleming is his name, I think...does the Flem File) that broke down all of the comebacks Favre is credited for, and found that half of them didn't count at all. A lot of them were of the "in a game that never got out of control, with 10 minutes left, Favre got them close enough for a go-ahead field goal and they made it, and no one scored again," variety.

He said he got a fuckton of hate mail after daring to write that.

Partially, but when an ESPN announcer breathlessly says Favre has had 40 some-odd comeback wins, it makes it sound like every one of them was like that win from two games ago, ended on a pass to the back of the end zone as the clock runs out, or that Favre's team was 21 points down at the beginning of the 4th quarter, and then they came back to win.

Did anyone see the abortion that was the Browns' game? Holy fuck I think I slipped into a coma there for a quarter. One of the most pathetic football games I've ever seen. 6-3, wtf?!!?!? Oh well, at least the Browns got one win this year.

I didn't see it, but I heard it wasn't a low scoring game because it was a good defensive struggle. I heard Anderson only completed, like, 2 passes.

I know...I saw Ronnie Brown make the worst drop I've seen in a while, and thought Braylon must be in fucking awe.

That one wasn't too bad - he just was looking for his route before he actually caught the damn ball. Certainly more excusable for a running back than someone whose sole job it is to catch the fucking ball.

And the sweet spiral he threw totally makes up for it.

While he did take a turnaround, it's not impossible to legitimately do so. He definitely had more attention paid to him in Cleveland as opposed to NY - especially in his first game where he wasn't really in sync with the whole team yet. Perhaps just poor defensive adjustment.

And if he didn't get his feet down the first time he shoulda got credit for the second when they ruled him out @ the 1.

The away uniforms with the white jerseys were okay. The worst thing about those uniforms IMHO is the socks. Fucked up zebra and checker patterns.

it's because it's the 50th anniversary of the original 8 or 9 teams from the AFL. they're all wearing throwbacks to commemorate it.

i actually like the throwback uniforms.
