Holy fuck, Pete
I didn't know you guys even played baseball, let alone play well enough to kick the shit out of the Dominican fucking Republic.

Yeah, well I just saw on tv that we smashed Mexico and narrowly lost to Cuba. All this splendour despite the fact we have no baseball fields.

Apparently this is about 3 minutes drive from my place.
I'm sure i've probably seen it several times but I'm not always the most observant person getting around.

It must be a mirage that shows up on those 45 degree days you have there...

Corner of Canterbury Road and Elgar Road in Box Hill South.

The home of the Melbourne Devils or something like that. First thing I found when searching for melbourne baseball fields.

Funnily enough, when making my original post the only baseball game I could recall having seen in the last decade was a couple of weeks ago while driving down Elgar Rd. But it was young kids playing in the west corner of that field, using jumpers for bases.
I used to play squash weekly in the building on the right of that pic and occassionally tennis on the grass courts that look like MS Paint squares above. But I never knew there was a baseball field there.
