Kia "performance" Parts

Post by 1300ZUK on Sun Oct 11, 2009 9:03 am

Do they make performance parts for Kia's.

I've tried searching for shit on the interweb, but i keep coming up with stupid decals and such.

Mainly suspension components are what i may be looking for.

The only place I can think of that would have anything like that is www.sharkracing.com though there's not much there for the Soul and Forte that isn't cosmetic. Maybe because they're newer vehicles. Older Korean vehicles listed there, like the Tiburon, have a bunch of different performance parts.

A 1.6L 4-cylinder, and a 2.0L 4-cylinder. 122 hp/115 lb-ft of torque and 142 hp/137 lb-ft of torque, respectively.

Maybe I've been hit in the head one too many times, but that thing kinda looks like a new Dodge Daytona, and I love it. The rear end has a very similar shape and lip to it. It's not a hatchback, but it just has that look it.

The Soul and the Forte are both very good choices for small cars.

Kia would have to design one hell of a car for me to even consider owning one

the thing with kia is that they're actually well equipped, especially for their price, but cut costs at design and handling.. and they're a bit behind on technology stuff, too.. and the smaller ones are just cheaply designed on the inside (and outside), but even those have a USB+ipod headunit and electric windows and other neat stuff

but yeah, they're dull looking and rather uninteresting to drive.. perfect for 90% of the people

As far as the Forte goes, I think it's better looking than the Civic. It's got a stronger, more cohesive, more aggressive look. The rear is far better looking as well.

The Amanti was aping the S-Type more than anything, IMHO.

Its replacement is going to be much better, even though its name sounds like a piece of furniture: http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/18/kia-cadenza-unveiled-in-korea-ready-to-replace-amanti-w-video/
